TheRomeStatuteontheInternationalCriminalCourt(ICC)cameintoeffectofficiallyonJuly1,2002,signifyingthebirthofthefirstpermanentinternationalcriminaljusticeorganizationinhumanhistory.Althoughitstilltakessometimebeforethecourtgoesintoofficialoperation,thecomingintoeffectoftheStatutesignifiesasolidsteptowardtheloftyideallongcherishedbyman-realizingjudicialjusticeandsafeguardinglastingpeaceintheworld.
