A 2 Gbps to 12 Gbps Wide-Range CDR with Automatic Frequency Band Selector-中国期刊网

摘要 Theneedforwide-bandclockanddatarecovery(CDR)circuitsisdiscussed.A2Gbpsto12Gbpscontinuous-rateCDRcircuitemployingamulti-modevoltage-controloscillator(VCO),afrequencydetector,andaphasedetector(FD&PD)isdescribed.Anewautomaticfrequencybandselection(FBS)withoutexternalreferenceclockisproposedtoselecttheappropriatemodeandalsosolvetheinstabilityproblemwhenthecircuitispoweringon.Themulti-modeVCOandFD/PDcircuitswhichcanoperateatfull-rateandhalf-ratemodesfacilitateCDRwithsixoperationmodes.TheproposedCDRstructurehasbeenmodeledwithMATLABandthesimulatedresultsvalidateitsfeasibility.
