摘要
Wheninterfaciallayersareviewedasaseparatephase,theinterfacethicknessplaysanessentialroleinassessingphysico-mechanicalpropertiesofparticulatematerials.However,theinterfacethicknessfromsectionalanalysisisoftenoverestimated,duetotheirregularityofsurfacetexturesofgrainsinopaquematerialsthatgivesrisetothenormalofacross-sectionalplanenon-perpendiculartothesurfaceofgrains.Hence,thedeterminationoftheoverestimationdegreeisverycriticaltopreciselyobtaintheinterfacethickness.Thisarticledevelopsanumericalmodelfortheoverestimationdegreeoftheinterfacethicknessaroundanellipsoidalgrainwithanarbitraryaspectratio,byapplyinganaccuratesectionalanalysisalgorithm,andquantitativestereologyandgeometricalprobabilitytheories.Furthermore,onthebasisofthedevelopednumericalmodel,theinfluenceofellipsoidalparticleshapeontheoverestimationdegreeisquantitativelycharacterized.
