Lane-Emden equations of second kind modelling thermal explosion in infinite cylinder and sphere＊-中国期刊网

摘要 WestudyamodifiedversionoftheLane-Emdenequationofthesecondkindmodellingathermalexplosioninaninfinitecylinderandasphere.Wefirstshowthatthesolutiontotherelevantboundaryvalueproblemisboundedandthatthesolutionsaremonotonedecreasing.Theupperbound,thevalueofthesolutionatzero,canbeapproximatedanalyticallyintermsofthephysicalparameters.Weobtainsolutionstotheboundaryvalueproblem,usingboththeTaylorseries(whichworkwellforweaknonlinearity)andthe(5-expansionmethod(validforstrongnonlinearity).Fromhere,weareabletodeducethequalitativebehaviorofthesolutionprofileswithachangeinanyoneofthephysicalparameters.
