Effects of the position of silver nanoprisms on the performance of organic solar cells

摘要 Silvernanoprisms(AgNPs)affecttheperformanceoforganicsolarcells(OSCs)indifferentwaysdependingontheirpositionsinthedevice.Toinvestigatethisissue,weincorporateAgNPsindifferentpositionsofOSCsandcomparetheirperformance.Thepowerconversionefficiency(PCE)isimprovedby23.60%to3.98%whentheAgNPsareincorporatedinfrontoftheactivelayer.Ontheotherhand,whenAgNPsareincorporatedinthebackoftheactivelayer,theshort-circuitcurrentdensity(JSC)isimprovedby17.44%to10.84mA/cm2.However,ifAgNPsareincorporatedintheactivelayer,bothopen-circuitvoltage(VOC)andJSCaredecreased.Wediscussthepositioneffectonthedeviceperformance,clarifytheabsorptionshadowandexcitonrecombinationcausedbyAgNPs,andfinallyindicatethattheoptimalpositionofplasmonicAgNPsisinfrontoftheactivelayer.
