1.IntroductionThreevillageswereselectedtodothefieldresearchinTibetAutonomousRegion:KhorchakvillageandShideVillageinPurangTown,PurangCounty,andKungyalVillageinHorCounty.ClosetoIndiaand1okmfromNepal,thefirsttwovillages,KhorchakandShide,aresituated18kilometersfromPurangCounty,alongthedownstreamofPeacockRiver,oneofthefourmajorriversinAli.Withaveragealtitudeof3850metersinplateausubfrigidaridclimate,thesetwobeautifulvillagesfallintothecategoryoffarmingpastoralareaandtheirproductivestructureissettled/grazing,herdingsheep,goat,cowandetc.KungyalVillage,115kilometerstotheeastofPurangCountygovernment,altitude467o,plateausubfrigidaridclimate,isatypicalpastoralareaanditsproductivestructureisnomadorseasonalnomad,herdingyak,sheepgoatandetc.Thesethreevillageswerechosenduetotheirrepresentativefeatures.
