Thecoreideaofphysicalliteracyisamind-bodyintegrated,holisticapproachtophysicalactivity.Aphysicallyliterateindividualisexpectedtobecognitivelyknowledgeable,physicallycompetent,andmentallymotivatedforaphysicallyactivelifethroughoutthelifespan.Theadvancementoftechnologyinrecentyears,especiallythoseinactivevideogames(AVGs),seemstohaveallowedthemind-bodyintegratedphysicalactivityaccessibletochildrenatallages.ThisarticlereviewsfindingsfromresearchandcritiqueresearchonAVGsinlightwiththetheoreticalandpedagogicaltenetsofphysicalliteracyand,onthebasisofthereview,elaboratesthepotentialthatAVGscouldcontributetoenhancingchildren'sphysicalliteracy.
