Discowry of Cosmic Dust in Gold Deposits in Northwestern Sichuan and Its Significance-中国期刊网

摘要 Inrecentyears,aconsiderableamountofmicroscopicspheruleshavebeenfoundinconcentratesrecoveredfromsomestrataboundgolddepositsoccurringinMiddle-UpperTriassicturbiditeseriesinnorthwesternSichuan.Studyindicatesthatthesespherulesarecosmicdust.ItisthefirsttimethatcosmicdustofextraterrestrialoriginhasbeenfoundinhydrothermalgolddepositsinChina.Thespherulesaresteel-greyincolourandshowmetallicluster.Theirgrainsizeiscommonlylessthan100μm.Accordingtotheircomposition,theybelongtochromium-richironcosmicdust.Thespheruleshavecomplexanddiversemicroscopicstructuresandtextures,i.e.theyshowaverydistinctWidmanstatenstructure.Thevariationofcosmicdustcontentingolddepositsexhibitsapositivecorrelationwiththemineralizationintensitiesandhydrothermalalteration.Sucharelationindicatesthattheoresub-stancesmaytransportnotonlymechanicallybutalsomaychemicallyinhydrothermalsolutions.
