摘要 Restoringdegradedforestsandagriculturallandshasbecomeaglobalconservationpriority.Agrowingnumberoftoolscanquantifyecosystemservicetradeoffsassociatedwithforestrestoration.Thisevolving'toolslandscape'presentsadilemma:moretoolsareavailable,butselectingappropriatetoolshasbecomemorechallenging.WepresentaRestorationEcosystemServiceToolSelector(RESTS)frameworkthatdescribeskeycharacteristicsof13ecosystemserviceassessmenttools.Analystsenterinformationabouttheirdecisioncontext,servicestobeanalyzed,anddesiredoutputs.Toolsarefilteredandpresentedbasedonfiveevaluativecriteria:scalability,cost,timerequirements,handlingofuncertainty,andapplicabilitytobenefit-costanalysis.RESTSusesaspreadsheetinterfacebutaweb-basedinterfaceisplanned.Giventherapidevolutionofecosystemservicesscience,RESTSprovidesanadaptableframeworktoguideforestrestorationdecisionmakerstowardtoolsthatcanhelpquantifyecosystemservicesinsupportofrestoration.
