摘要 Anon-intrusivedesignformonitoringeverydayactivitiesofanelderlypersonispresented.Theproposedsystemisintendedtobeusedinthebedroom,allowingtheelderstostayathomeinasafeenvironment.Therequiredhardwaredesignissimpleinstructureandcosteffective.ThesensordesignisimplementedbyusingcapacitivesensorsandanArduinomicrocontrollerunit.Andarealtimegraphicaluserinterfaceisimplementedtomonitortheelderlyperson.Theperformanceanalysisshowsthatthesensordesignisabletodifferentiatebetweenahumanbodyandahousepet.
