AUDITORY SYSTEM MODEL AND ITS APPLICATIONS-中国期刊网

摘要 Anewauditorysystemmodelbasedonacombinationofphysiologicalandpsycho-logicalacousticdatahasbeenproposed.Thismodelconsistsofabankofnonuniformbandpassfilters,detectorsandmain-frequencychoosingmechanisms,theyactasbasilarmembranes,innerhaircellsandnervefibers,respectively.Combiningwiththeimprovedcriticalbandwidthpa-rameters,theinputtothismodelisanalogoustothepressureattheeardrum,andtheoutputofthismodelsimulatesvariousfeaturesofthefiringpattern.Thesynthesizerobtainstheresul-tantspeechbyuseofthesimpleaddingmethod.Computersimulationsshowthattheresultantspeechishighlyintelligibleandnatural.Theproposedmodeliscorrectandtheimprovementofthecriticalbandwidthparametersiseffective.
