Analysis of microstructure and performance of temper bead welded joints for SA508-3 steel by Quenching and Tempering mode

摘要 TheHAZmicrostructureandperformanceofQuenchingandTemperingmodetemperbeadweldingandgeneralweldedjointswhichweremadeonSA508-3steelof60mmthicknesswerecomparedinthisarticle.Theresultshowsthattemperingsorbitewhichhasexcellentoverallperformancewasobtainedinbothmodes.ThemicrostructureofQuenchingandTemperingmodeweldedjointsgotmorefinegrain.Eventhoughthehardnessoftemperingbeadweldedjointsishigherthanthegeneralone,itstillmeetsthestandardswhichislowerthan350HV.TheimpactabsorbingenergyofeachdistrictoftemperingbeadweldedjointsHAZreached170J,whichisequaltogeneralone.
