Overview of Graphene as Anode in Lithium-Ion Batteries

摘要 Graphene,asafabulouslynew-emergingcarbonaceousmaterialwithanidealtwo-dimensionalrigidhoneycombstructure,hasdrawnextensiveattentioninthefieldofmaterialscienceduetoextraordinaryproperties,includingmechanicalrobustness,largespecificsurfacearea,desirableflexibility,andhighelectronicconductivity.Inparticular,asanauxiliarymaterialofelectrodematerials,ithasthepotentialtoimprovetheperformanceoflithium-ionbatteries.However,wideutilizationofgrapheneinlithium-ionbatteriesisnotimplementedsincetremendouschallengesandissues,suchasquality,quantity,andcostconcerns,hinderitscommercialization.Thereremainsadebatewhethergraphenecanactasanimpetusintheevolutionoflithium-ionbatteries.Inthisreview,wesummarizethedesirableproperties,severalcommonsynthesismethodsaswellasapplicationsofgrapheneastheanodeinlithium-ionbatteries,seekingtoprovideinsightfulguidelinesforfurtherdevelopmentofgraphene-basedlithium-ionbatteries.
