The Role of Adult Education Programme in the Economic Empowerment of Women in Jema’a Local Goernment of Area of Kaduna State,Nigeria:Toward Enhancing National Economic Recovery-中国期刊网

摘要 ThepaperisparticularlyfocusedonexaminingtheroleofadulteducationprogrammeintheeconomicdevelopmentofruralwomentherebyenhancingtheprocessofrecoveringNigeria’seconomyfromrecession.Thestudyadoptedasurveyresearchdesignandemployedtheuseofquestionnairetocollectresponsesfrom60respondentswhoarewomenfromJema’aLocalGovernmentAreaofKadunaStateNigeriathathaveundergonetheadulteducationprogramme.Responseswerecollatedandanalyzedusingthemeanscore.Findingsshowedthat,theprogrammehasaverypositiveimpactinhelpingthewomentochangetheireconomicandsocialstatusaswellastheirgeneralwellbeing.Itequallyprovidedthemwithopportunitytoacquireskillsrelevantforself-relianceandtomanagetheirsmallbusinessasaresult,enhancingtheprocessofeconomicrecoveryinNigeria.
