Simple Preparation of Spherical Activated Carbon with Mesoporous Structure from Phenolic Resol and Associated Catalytic Performance in Isobutane Dehydrogenation

摘要 Thisstudyprovidesadetailedreportonthesynthesisofsphericalactivatedcarbonwithmesoporousstructureusingasolublelowmolecularweightphenolicresolprecursorthroughanammoniumalginateassistedsol–gelmethod.TheeffectsofcalcinatingtemperatureandtheadditionofCaCO3asapore-enlargingagentontexturestructureandcatalyticperformanceinisobutanedehydrogenationtoisobutenewereinvestigated.CharacterizationofN2sorption,mechanicalstrengthtests,andopticalphotographsconfirmedthattheobtainedcarbonmaterialshadhighmechanicalstrength,agooddegreeofsphericity,andalargesurfacearea.IntroducingCaCO3asapore-enlargingagentduringthepreparationprocesspromotedtheformationofamesoporousstructureofcarbonspheresandevidentlyincreasedthesurfaceareaandoxygencontent,whichcanimproveisobutaneconversionandisobuteneselectivityofthesecarbonspheres.Theconversionofisobutanereachedupto28%forthissphericalactivatedcarbon,andtheselectivityofisobutenereachedupto96%.Isobutaneconversionincreasedwithanincreaseincalcinationtemperatureduetoanincreaseintheoxygencontent,whereastheselectivityofisobutenedecreasedduetotheslightdecreaseinthespecificsurfacearea.
