Palliativecareisthereliefofsymptomswithoutdealingwiththeunderlyingcause,e.g.useofanalgesia,torelievepain.Theuseofsuchanagentalleviatesthesymptomswithoutcuringtheunderlyingdisease.Thisisthetypeofcareforpatientswithseriousillnesses.Itfocusesonimprovingqualityoflife,notjustinyourbody,butalsoinyourmindandspirit.Thereisathinlinebetweenpalliativecareandhospicecare.
