摘要
Anenergyapproachisproposedtodescribetheelectromigrationinducedgrainrotationunderhighcurrentdensity.Thedrivingforceisassumedtoarisefromthegrain-boundaryenergyreductionandincreaseoftheinnerenergyfromthejouleheating.Energydissipatesbythegrainboundarydiffusionunderelectromigrationandviscousboundaryslidingisconsidered.Basedontheconservationofenergyproductionanddissipation,anequilibriumequationisdevelopedtopredictthegrainrotationrateanalytically.Itisrecognizedthatthegrainrotateswiththereducingofelectricalresistivityandinverselyproportionaltothegrainlength.Thetheoreticalpredictioniscomparedwiththeexperimentaldata,whichshowsgoodaccuracyontherotationtrendandthespecificrotationrate.
