摘要
Liquidmicro-jets,producedfromgasdynamicvirtualnozzles(GDVNs),areusedassamplecarriersforinteractionwithX-raybeaminserialfemtosecondcrystallography(SFX).Anumericalinvestigationoftheeffectofthefocusinggastypeontheliquidmicro-jetproperties(itslengthandthickness)ispresented.ThestudycomplementsourpreviousresearchontheinfluenceofoperatingconditionsandthenozzlegeometryonGDVNperformance.Theinfluenceofhelium,argon,carbondioxideandnitrogengases(atafixedmassflowrateof1.6×104mg/min)onfocusingpurewaterjet(flowrateof33μl/min)isanalysed.
