Non-uniform strain measurement along a f iber Bragg grating using optical frequency domain reflectometry-中国期刊网

摘要 Anovelmethodofmeasuringnon-uniformstrainalongafiberBragggrating(FBG)usingopticalfrequencydomainreflectometry(OFDR)isproposedandexperimentallydemonstrated.Thismethodcanovercometheproblemsoftraditionalnon-uniformstrainmeasurementmethodsforFBGs,i.e.,thelikelihoodofchirpingandmultiplepeakinginthespectrumwhenFBGissubjectedtoinhomogeneousstrainfields.WavelengthinterrogationisrealizedbyOFDRwithanarrow-line-widthtunablelaserastheopticalsource.Whennon-uniformstraindistributionsalongareasadjacenttostructuraldamagearemeasuredbythismethod,goodagreementisobtainedbetweenmeasurementsandtheoreticalsimulationresults.
