摘要 Thereisarapidlygrowingdemandtousesiliconandsiliconnitride(Si3N4)integratedphotonicsforsensingapplications,rangingfromrefractiveindextospectroscopicsensing.BymakinguseofadvancedCMOStechnology,complexminiaturizedcircuitscanbeeasilyrealizedonalargescaleandatalowcostcoveringvisibletomid-IRwavelengths.InthispaperwepresentourrecentworkonthedevelopmentofsiliconandSi3N4-basedphotonicintegratedcircuitsforvariousspectroscopicsensingapplications.Wereportourfindingsonwaveguide-basedabsorption,andRamanandsurfaceenhancedRamanspectroscopy.Finallywereporton-chipspectrometersandon-chipbroadbandlightsourcescoveringverynear-IRtomid-IRwavelengthstorealizefullyintegratedspectroscopicsystemsonachip.
