Influence of thermal reduced depolarization on a repetition-frequency laser amplifier and compensation

摘要 Thermalstresscaninducebirefringenceinalasermedium,whichcancausedepolarizationofthelaser.Thedepolarizationeffectwillbeverysevereinahigh-average-powerlaser.Becausethedepolarizationwillmakethefrequencydoublingefficiencydecline,itshouldbecompensated.Inthispaper,thethermalcharacteristicsoftwokindsofmaterialsareanalyzedinrespectoftemperature,thermaldeformationandthermalstress.Thedepolarizationresultfromthermalstresswassimulated.Depolarizationonnon-uniformpumpingwasalsosimulated,andthecompensationmethodisdiscussed.
