ThemetasedimentsintheChambaregionexperiencedthreephasesofdeformation:DF1,DF2andDF3.Foldedquartzveinsareco-foldedwiththeF2crenulationfolds.Theirgeometricandtectonicsignificanceisstudiedbymicrostructuresandshorteningadjacenttothediscretecrenulationcleavage,S2.Microstructuresoffoldedveinsegments,theirgeometricchangesandtruncationtocleavage(S2)aremainlyduetopressure-solutionphenomenaandtheestimatedvolumelossfromreconstructedveinsegmentsrangefrom16to25.5%,whichiscloselyrelatedtovolumedecrease(26%)calculatedfromthepolydeformedslatesofNorthWalesareas.
