摘要
Theeffectofpolyethyleneimine(PEI)concentrationonthepropertiesoftitaniumdioxide(TiO2)suspensionsisstudiedwithorwithouttheadditionofanelectrolyte(bariumacetate).MeasurementsoftheapparentviscosityandthestabilityofTiO2suspensionsshowedthatPEIisaneffectivedispersantforTiO2particlesinsuspensionintheabsenceofanelectrolyte,notonlyreducingtheviscosityofthesuspensionbutalsoincreasingitsstability.Inthepresenceofanelectrolyte,however,smallquantitiesofpolyethyleneiminecouldneitherdispersetheTiO2particlesnorde-creasetheviscosityoftheTiO2suspensions;onlyPEIconcentrationsbeyondsaturationadsorptioncouldperceptivelyimprovethestabilitvofTiO2suspensions.
