ThepresentpaperdealswithbestonesidedapproximationrateinLpspaces～En(f)Lpoff∈C2π.Althoughitisclearthattheestimate～En(f)Lp≤C‖f‖Lpcannotbecorrectforallf∈Lp2πincasep＜∞,thequestionwhether～En(f)Lp≤Cω(f,n-1)Lpor～En(f)Lp≤CEn(f)Lpholdsforf∈C2πremainstotallyuntouched.Thereforeitformsabasicproblemtojustifyonesidedapproximation.Thepresentpaperwillprovideananswertosettledownthebasis.
