TheeventswewillbedwellinguponandwhichareknownfromthecuneiformsourcesunearthedatBogazkoeydatedirectlytothetimeofHattusiliIorlater,andprovideinformationaboutthefoundationperiodoftheHittitekingdomwhichtookplaceinthecitiesthatwerecloselylinkedtoordirectlyoccurringinthecapitalcity,Hattusa,orelsewhere.Itisnotpossibletoputcampaigns,conquestsandtheeventsinexactchronologicalorderwithinthefoundationperiodoftheHittitekingdom.However,itcanbesaidthatwhiletheearlypartofthereignofHattusiliIwasmostlyaperiodwhentheborderswereexpandedbymilitarycampaignsandconquests,thelaterpartofthisking'sreignwasmostprobablywheninternalturmoilarose.
