Inthecomingfouryears,theMiddleEastwillcontinuetobethestrategicfocusoftheUnitedStates.Itcanbeseeninananalysisoftherecentyears'situationthattheBushadministrationratherchoseawarintheMiddleEasttoachieveitsstrategicgoalsthanusednon-militarymeasurestodothesamething.InthefuturetheBushadministrationmightfinditdifficulttodrawbackfromitspolicyontheMiddleEast,whichwillmeanmorelossesthangains.ThiswillprobablycontinuetocausedamagetoboththesoftandhardpoweroftheU.S.,andresultinadownwardtrendoftheU.S.powerforacertainperiodoftime.
