ThispaperistryingtohighlighttheimportanceofconstructingsmallhydropowerstationasthealternativesourceofenergyforruralelectrificationinNigeriaandstressedtheneedfortheFederalGovernmentofNigeriatoprovideaclearopenpolicythatwillmakeenvironmentfavourableandsafeforlocalandforeignprivateinvestorsonsmallHydropower.
