摘要
Ageneralnonlinearconstitutivemodelisproposedformagnetostrictivematerials,basedontheimportantphysicalfactthatanonlinearpartoftheelasticstrainproducedbyapre-stressisrelatedtothemagneticdomainrotationormovementandisresponsibleforthechangeofthemaximummagnetostrictivestrainwiththepre-stress.Toavoidthecomplicityofdeterminingthetensorfunctiondescribingthenonlinearelasticstrainpart,thispaperproposesasimplifiedmodelbymeansoflinearizingthenonlinearfunction.Fortheconvenienceofengineeringapplications,theexpressionsofthe3-D(bulk),2-D(film)and1-D(rod)modelsare,respectively,givenforanisotropicmaterialandtheirapplicablerangesarealsodiscussed.BycomparisonwiththeexperimentaldataofaTerfenol-Drod,itisfoundthattheproposedmodelcanaccuratelypredictthemagnetostrictivestraincurvesinlow,moderateandhighmagneticfieldregionsforvariouscompressivepre-stresslevels.Thenumericalsimulationfurtherillustratesthat,foreithermagnetostrictiverodsorthinfilms,theproposedmodelcaneffectivelydescribetheeffectsofthepre-stressorresidualstressonthemagnetizationandmagnetostrictivestraincurves,whilenoneoftheknownmodelscancaptureallofthem.Therefore,theproposedmodelenjoyshigherprecisionandwiderapplicabilitythanthepreviousmodels,especiallyintheregionofthehighfield.
