摘要
SincethegeneralelectiononMay20,2004,theUnitedProgressiveAllianceledbytheNationalCongresshasrearrangedIndianpoliticalstage,namelystartingtodecidetheroadfordevelopment.OnJuly8,theNationalCongressgovernmentpublishedanewbudget,whichputthestressonassistingthepoor,agricultureandeducation,andatthesametimeslowingdowntheprocessofprivatization.Theinternationalcommunityhasshowedlow-keyreflectionsonthebudgetbutoptimismfortheeconomicprospectofIndia.TheBJPgovernmenthopedtoseea7-8%economicgrowthrateinthefiscalyearof2004/05,buttheReserveBank(CentralBank)ofIndiaexpecteda6.5%increase.SincetheNationalCongresstookpower,theeconomicgrowthrateremainedat7-8%tillAugust,butthepercentdroppedto6-7%asofSeptember.Nomatterwhatgrowthrate,Indianeconomicdevelopmentwillproduceaninfluencenotonlyontheregionbutalsoontheworldaswell.ThenhowshouldChinaseeanddevelopitseconomic/traderelationswithIndia?
