Numerical analysis of Raman amplification and optical signal-to-noise ratio in a photonic crystal fiber

摘要 Anumericaldesignonthetriangularphotoniccrystalfiber(PCF)basedbackwardmulti-pumpRamanamplifierispresented.ItisdemonstratedthathighflatRamangaincanbereachedbasedonPCF.InfluencesofdifferentgeometricparametersandgermaniumdopingconcentrationsontheRamannetgain,amplifiedspontaneousemission(ASE)noiseanddoubleRayleighbackscattering(DRBS)ofthesignalhavebeenanalyzed.ForoptimizingcrystalfiberRamanamplifier(FRA),thereistradeoffbetweenthegeometricparameterandgermaniumdopingconcentrationoftriangularPCF.TheresultsshowthatPCFisanappropriatecandidateforhighgainRamanamplifiers.
