(FollowingVol.25,No.1-2)In1992,theRussiangeoscientistE.E.Milanovskyinthepaperentitled'ImportanceofStudiesandTheoreticalIdeasinChinaGeologyforSovietScienceDevelopment'emphasizedtheinfluenceofstudiesandtheoreticalideasinChina'sgeology,especiallyintectonicsandstratigraphy,onthedevelopmentofRussianscience.Helookedupontectono-magmaticactivizationasoneofthefourChina'sgeologicalachievementsthathavedeeplyinfluencedgeologicalthinkinginRussia.Hewrote:'InChinathepeculiarfeatureofMesozoicfolddeformationsandmagmaticmanifestationsconjugatetothemwastheirextremelywidedistributionwithintheChina-KoreaandSouthChinaplatforms.Thesephenomenawererecordedalsointhesouth-easternpartoftheSiberianplatform(withintheAldan-Stanovoishield)andintheeasternsegmentsoftheUrals-Mongolianmobilebelt(inthenortheasternpartofChina,intheeasternpartofMongoliaandtheTransbaikal-PriamurregionofRussia),wheretheHercynianfoldingcompletingtheirgeosynclinaldevelopmentwasfollowedintheearlyormiddleMesozoicbyeitherpartialregenerationofgeosynclinalregimeor,accordingtootherresearchers,tectonomagmaticactivization.'
