Synthesis of Nanoscale Shell-core Titania Coated Silica Particles in the Presence of Polyether Polyamine and the Phase Transition

摘要 Thenanoscaletitaniacoatedsilicawaspreparedviaatwo-stepprecipitatingapproach,wherethenanoscalesilicanucleiwerefirstpreparedbypassinganaqueoussolutionofsodiumsilicatethroughanion-exchangeresinbed,thencoatedwiththeprecipitationfromhydrolyzedbutyltitanateinanethanol-hexanemixtureatalowpHvalueinthepresenceofpoly(ethyleneoxide)polyaminesalt(PPA)atahightemperatureof90℃.Inthesecond-stepprecipitatingprocess,thespontaneouslyprecipitatedtitaniashellonthesilicanucleiwasstabilizedinthesuspensionsolutionwiththehelpoftheadsorptionofPPAontheparticles.Apossibleprecipitatingmechanismwassuggested.Furthermore,theamorphoustitaniashellcouldundergocrystallizationfromtheamorphoustotheanatasestructureatahightemperatureof650℃,andafurtherphasetransitionfromtheanatasetotherutilestructureinthedifferentsinteringprocessesatarisingtemperatureof750℃.
