摘要
Debrisflowsinnaturegenerallyfallintothreegroupsdistinctintheirgraincomposition:water-stoneflow,orsub-viscousdebrisflow,dominatedbycoarsegrains;muddyflow,dominatedbyfinegrains;andviscousdebrisflowcomposedofgrainsinlargerange.Liquid-phasevelocityandsedimentarydeliveryresistanceofsub-viscousdebrisflowhavebeendiscussedbasedonthecompositioncharactersofsub-andhigh-viscousdebrisflows.Itisrevealedthatthepresenceoffinegrainsplaysavitalroleinaffectingresistanceandaveragevelocity,particularlywhenthevolumefractionofgrainsintheflowisrelativelyhigh,i.e.Sv＞0.45.Grain-sizedistributionofviscousdebrisflowischaracterizedbyabimodalcurve,whichexplainsthepropertieslikehighdensityandlowresistancegradientofdebrisflows.Acalculationformulaisfinallyputforward,whichhastosomeextentovercomelocalitylimitsandachievedagoodagreementwiththefieldobservationsofdebrisflowsinSouthwestChina.
