NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF HIGHLY UNDEREXPANDED AXISYMMETRIC JET WITH RUNGE-KUTTA DISCONTINUOUS GALERKIN FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

摘要 HighlyunderexpandedaxisymmetricjetwassimulatedusingtheRunge-KuttaDiscontinuousGalerkin(RKDG)finiteelementmethod,which,basedontwo-dimensionalconservationlaws,wasusedtosolvetheaxisymmetricEulerequations.Thecomputedresultsshowthatthecomplicatedflowfieldstructuresofinterest,includingshockwaves,slipstreamsandthetriplepointobservedinexperimentscouldbewellcapturedusingtheRKDGfiniteelementmethod.Moreover,comparisonsoftheMachdisklocationexhibitexcellentagreementsbetweenthecomputedresultsandexperimentalmeasurements,indicatingthatthismethodhashighcapabilityofcapturingshockswithoutnumericaloscillationandartificialviscosityoccurringnearthediscontinuouspoint.
