Proteomicsisthestudyofproteinsandtheirinteractionsinacell.WiththesuccessfulcompletionoftheHumanGenomeProject,itcomesthepostgenomeerawhentheproteomicstechnologyisemerging.Thispaperstudiesproteinmoleculefromthealgebraicpointofview.Thealgebraicsystem(Σ,+,)isintroduced,whereΣisthesetof64codons.Accordingtothecharacteristicsof(Σ,+,),anovelquasi-aminoacidscodeclassificationmethodisintroducedandthecorrespondingalgebraicoperationtableoverthesetZUofthe16kindsofquasi-aminoacidsisestablished.Theinternalrelationisrevealedaboutquasi-aminoacids.Theresultsshowthatthereexistsomeveryclosecorrelationsbetweenthepropertiesofthequasi-aminoacidsandthecodon.Allthesecorrelationrelationshipsmayplayanimportantpartinestablishingthelogicrelationshipbetweencodonsandthequasi-aminoacidsduringthecourseoflifeorigination.AccordingtoMaFetal(2003J.AnhuiAgriculturalUniversity30439),thecorrespondingrelationandtheexcellentpropertiesaboutaminoacidscodeareverydifficulttoobserve.Thepresentpapershowsthat(ZU,⊕,)isafield.Furthermore,theoperationalresultsdisplaythatthecodontgahasdifferentpropertyfromotherstopcodons.Infact,inthemitochondrionfromhumanandoxgenomiccodon,tgaisjusttryptophane,isnotthestopcodonlikeinothergeneticcode,itisthecaseoftheChenWCetal(2002ActaBiophysicaSinica18(1)87).Thepresenttheoryavoidssomeinexplicableeventsofthe20kindsofaminoacidscode,inotherwordsitsolvestheproblemof'the64codonassignmentsofmRNAtoaminoacidsisprobablycompletelywrong'proposedbyYang(2006ProgressinModernBiomedicine63).
