摘要
Ahandgesturerecognitionmethodispresentedforhuman-computerinteraction,whichisbasedonfingertiplocalization.First,handgestureissegmentedfromthebackgroundbasedonskincolorcharacteristics.Second,featurevectorsareselectedwithequalintervalsontheboundaryofthegesture,andthengestures'lengthnormalizationisaccomplished.Third,thefingertippositionsaredeterminedbythefeaturevectors'parameters,andanglesoffeaturevectorsarenormalized.Finallythegesturesareclassifiedbysupportvectormachine.Theexperimentalresultsdemonstratethattheproposedmethodcanrecognize9gestureswithanaccuracyof94.1%.
