简介:Atwo-dimensionalnumericalmodelisconstructedtostudytheinteractionbetweenthecoastalupwellingandthecoastalfrontoffZhejiangcoastinsummer.Inthef-planemodel,theshelftopography,continuousstratification,andRichardsonnumber-dependenteddycoefficientsareconsidered.Theresultsshowthatthecoastalup-wellingoffZhejianginsummercanbedividedintotworegions,thenearshoreone(RegionA)andtheoffshoreone(RegionB).InRegionA,thealongshorewindstresshasmoreimportanteffectonthecoastalupwellingwhileinRegionB,theupwellingismainlyinducedbytheTaiwanWarmCurrent.TheresultsalsosuggestthattheformationofcoastalfrontoffZhejianginsummeriscloselyrelatedtothestrengthofthecoastalupwellinginRegionA.
简介:Accordingtothehydrographicandsedimentdata,thedynamicsedimentationcharacteristicsaredealtwithbasedontheanalysesofthehydra-dynamicsandthesuspendedandbottomsedimentcharactersinXiashimen(XSM)straitchannelmouthareaintheeasternpartofZhoushanIslands.Itispointedoutthatbothofthechangesofthehydra-dynamicsandthefinesedimentsupplyfromChangjiangestuaryresultinthesedimentationmechanismofmainlythefinesedimentsflocculatingdepositionandsecondlythecoarsersedimentdepositioninsinglegrain.Thedynamicsedimentationcharacteristicsaredevelopedundertheactionofthedepositionmechanismandreworkingdifferencesindifferentbedformareas.

简介:ThepentadaverageminimumoutgoingIongwaveradiation(OLR)dataoverthenorthernSouthChinaSea(SCS)areselectedasindexestoanalyzetheintensityoftheconvectionconnectedwiththeSCSmonsoononset.StatisticanalysisdemonstratesthattheindexcanaccountfortheintensityoftheSCSmonsoonabout,atleast,75%.Asignificantnegativecorrelation(confidentlevelover90%)betweenShandong'ssummerrainfallandtheindexisfoundonlyintheperiodof24-26pentadsandlimitedtotheareaabovethedeeperwaterbasinoftheSCS(10°-20°N,110°-117.5°E).ThustheminimumOLRoverthedeeperwaterbasinduring24-26pentadscanbeusedasavaluablepredictorforthelong-leadforecastoftheprecipitation.The500hPageopotentialheightdataintheNorthernHemispherefortheperiodfrom1951to2000areusedinordertocharacterizethephysicalmechanismsinvolved.Thecompositeanomaliesofthe500hPalevelallowfortheidentificationanddetectionoftheteleconnectionoftheEastAsia-NorthAmerica(EAP)patternthatisresponsibletosomeextentfortheinterannualvariabilityoftheprecipitationofShandongProvince.Besides,theinterannualdifferencesoftheintraseasonalvariations(ISV)ofOLRandtheirnorthwardtransmissionprobablymakeacontributiontothepositionofthesubtropicalhighwhichisvitalforthesummerrainfallintheprovince.
简介:Throughdensifiedsurfacesamplingofforaminiferaandaccurateelevationmeasurementalongthreetransectlinesinopen-coasttidalsalt-marshofJianchuan,particularsalt-marshforaminiferaassemblageswerefound.Thesalt-marshforaminiferaassemblagesaredistributedinwell-definedverticalzonationswithrespecttoelevationandcloselyparallelmarshfloralzonations.Atthetopoftheverticalzonationallforaminiferadisappearabruptlywhichareaccuratelylocatedatthehighesthighwaterdatum.Thisdistributionpatterncanbeusedtorelocateformersealevelsaccurately(toanaccuracyofwithin±5cm).Amodemregionalcriterionofforaminiferaforrelocatingtheformersealevelsinhighresolutioninourcountryisprovided,anddeficienciesofstudyingtheverticalzonationonlyinshelteredcoastsalt-marshabroadarefilledup.

简介:AnintegratedinvestigationwascarriedoutduringlateApriltolateMayof2014inthecoastalareaofSouthJiangsuProvincetounderstandtheearlydevelopmentofgreentideintheYellowSeaanddiscoverthetemporalandspatialdistributionofgreenalgalmicro-propagulesandmacroalgaeattheearlystageofgreentide.Theresultsshowedthatgreenalgalmicro-propagulesdistributedinallstationsfromlateApriltolateMay,andmicro-propagulesofhighdensity(>300ind.L?1)concentratedintheadjacentPorphyraaquaculturearea.Floatingmacroalgaewereinitiallyobservedinthenorthernsurveyareas,andincreasedgradually.ThedominantspecieswasU.proliferainthefloatingmacroalgae,rangingbetween90%and100%.Theseawatersurfacetemperatureandsalinityintheabovementionedtimeperiodweresuitableforthegrowthofmacroalgae.ThisworkcanhelpgovernmenttostrengthenmanagementtoreducethebloomsofmacroalgaeinthecoastalareaofSouthJiangsuProvinceandalsofacilitatethedecision-makingformanagersattheearlystageofgreentide.
