  • 简介:Atransformertypeironcoresnubber,asaprotectivedeviceagainstthestraycapacitanceduringthebreakdowninEAST,isanalyzedindetail.Threekindsoftopologyarepresented.Thenwiththeanalysisforequivalentcircuit,therangesofthreekeyparameters,i.e.,secondarysideresistance,leakageinductanceandsnubberinductance,aredetermined.Byconsideringthesaturationofthemagneticmaterial,adesignprincipleisalsopresented.Anearly1:10coresnubberistested.Itisprovedthatahighpermeabilitycorewithsecondaryresistorcanrestrainthedischargecurrenteffectively.

  • 简介:NeutralbeaminjectorforEASTisdesignedtodeliverdeuteriumbeamswithapowerof2MWto4MWatanenergyof50keVto80keVintotheplasmawithabeamdimensionof12cm×48cm.Consideringthebeamgenerationandtransmission,acolumniformbeam-lineofΦ250cm×400cmisdesignedwithaneutralizer,iondump,calorimeter,bendingmagnetandcryopanels.Thearrangementoftheinternalelementsforthebeam-lineisreported.Arectangularsleevecoupledtotheionsourceisemployedastheneutralizer.Atthedownstreamoftheneutralizer,adipolemagnetseparatestheresidualionsfromthebeampassagewithareflectionradiusof42cmforthefullenergyparticles.Thecalorimeterandtheiondumpserveashighheatfluxcomponents,whichwillworkasthermalinertiatargetsinthefirstphaseofoperation.

  • 简介:TheVacuumVessel(VV)systemisanessentialcomponentofKedaTorusforexperiment(KTX),andvariousscenariosmighttakeplaceonit.TheVV’ssupportsshouldbeadequatelystrongtostandagainstvariousloadsonVV,whichmighthappeninextremescenarios.Therefore,thedesignofVVsupportsisverifiedinasingleextremescenarioandissubsequentlyoptimizedinthisreport.ThenumericalsimulationbasedonFiniteElementtheoryisperformedasthemajormethodforanalysisandoptimization.Theelectromagneticforceinpreviousanalysesservesastheloadforthemechanicalanalysesofsupports.Duringtheoptimization,thestressesoftheWsupportsdecreaseremarkablyafterintroducingcotters.Finally,theoptimumdesignhasbeenworkedout.Itsatisfiestherequirementsregardingthestrengthandconvenienceinassembly.

  • 简介:TheDCreactorisanimportantpieceofequipmentforrestrainingloopandripplecurrentsintheinternationalthermonuclearexperimentalreactor(ITER)converterpowersupplysystem.Asthereactorisoperatedatasteadystateof27.5kAandneedstowithstandapeakcurrentof175kA,sothedesignoftheDCreactorusedintheITERconverterpowersupplysystemisnecessary.Anewwater-coolingdry-typeair-corereactorisdesignedinthiswork.Thedetailedstructuralparametersarecalculatedbytheoreticalformulas,andthenthestructureisoptimizedbyelectromagneticsimulationwithANSYS.Finally,thermalanddynamicstabilityanalysesareperformedtoverifythetemperatureandstressataratedcurrentof27.5kAandpulsedcurrentof175kA.TheanalysisresultsshowthatthetemperatureandstressmeettherequirementsoftheITERconverterpowersupplysystem.

  • 简介:Theconductorsofboththetoroidalfield(TF)andpoloidalfield(PF)coilsofEASTareNiTicable-in-conduitconductors(CICCs).ThesizesofthistypeofCICCare20.3mm×20.3mmand18.5mm~18.5mmrespectively.ArelevantR&DprogramhasbeencarriedoutforthreeyearsattheResearchandManufactureCenter(RMC)oftheInstituteofPlasmaPhysics,ChineseAcademyofSciences(ASIPP)toacquirethemanufacturingtechniquesandmasterthebehaviorofthetestingjoints.Basedontheexperiencegainedfromthemanufactureandtestofasub-cablejoint,threekindsofjointsweremade.Thefinaldesignwasdeterminedaftercarefullyevaluatingtheirsimplemechanism,goodcoolingline,lowerAClossandresistance,compactsize,andconvenienceformanufactureandon-siteassembly.Twostepsweredevelopedtocarryoutthefinaljoint.Thefirststepwasformingtheterminals'superconductors.Thesecondstepwasclampingthetwoterminalstogethertoensuretheirgoodcontactwiththecopperconductorsole.Thetwoterminalscouldbeconnectedindifferentdirectionstogettwokindsofconductorconnections.Ahydraulicinstrumentwasdevelopedtoimpacttheterminals.Itcouldimpacttheterminalsinhighaccuracyintermsoftheirsizeandshape.Thecrosssectionoftheterminalwastriedincircularandanellipticshape.Fivefull-sizejointsweremadeaccordingtothedesignandthentested.Whentheyweretestedinbathingcoldcondition,theirresistancewasfrom2nΩto4nΩ.Thelatestjointwastestedinrealworkingconditionswheretheresistancevariedfrom2nΩto12nΩ,dependingonthetestingcurrentrangingfrom2kAto10kA.

  • 简介:AnovelpancakeRogowskicoilwithoutmagneticcoreisintroducedinthispaper.Owingtoitsspecialpancakewindingstructure,thecoilisoflowself-resistanceandhighself-inductance,andthushasexcellentlowfrequencycharacteristicintheself-integralmode.Moreover,becauseofitsuniqueinstallationmethod,thecoilhasaflexiblesensitivityandcanbeappliedundersituationswheretoroidalair-coreRogowskicoilsorprintedaircuitboard(PCB)coilsarenotavailable.TheparametersandperformanceofthepancakeRogowskicoilarepresented,andtheprincipleofshieldingisgiven.Measurementsofsteppulsecurrentandoscillatingpulsecurrentbythecoilarestudiedexperimentallytoillustrateitsgoodlinearity,reliableandflexiblesensitivityandexcellentfrequencycharacteristic,especiallyitsadvantageinlowfrequencycharacteristic.ThepancakeRogowskicoilcanbedesignedtoassumeround,squareorrectangleshape,andhasthusbroadprospectsinitsapplicationtothecurrentmeasurementinsuchareasasplasmaphysicsandpulsedpowertechnology.

  • 简介:InTokomak,thesupportoftheELMcoil,whichisclosetotheplasmaandsubjecttohighradiationlevel,hightemperatureandhighmagneticfield,isusedtotransportandbearthethermalloadduetothermalexpansionandthealternatingelectromagneticforcegeneratedbyhighmagneticfieldandACcurrentinthecoil.AccordingtothefeatureofITERELMcoil,themechanicalperformanceofrigidandflexiblesupportsunderdifferenthighnuclearheatlevelsisstudied.Resultsshowthatflexiblesupportshavemoreexcellentperformanceinhighnuclearheatconditionthanrigidsupports.Concerningthermalandelectromagnetic(EM)loads,optimizedresultsfurtherprovethatflexiblesupportshavebettermechanicalperformancethanrigidones.Throughthesestudies,reasonablesupportdesigncanbeprovidedfortheELMcoilsorsimilarcoilsinTokamakbasedonthenuclearheatlevel.

  • 简介:Becausethelargermetallicsurroundsareheatedbytheeddycurrent,whichisgeneratedbytheACcurrentflowingthroughtheACbusbarintheInternationalThermonuclearExperimentalReactor(ITER)poloidalfield(PF)convertersystem,shieldingoftheACbusbarisrequiredtodecreasethetemperatureriseofthesurroundstosatisfythedesignrequirement.ThreespecialtypesofACbusbarwithnaturalcooling,aircoolingandwatercoolingbusbarstructurehavebeenproposedandinvestigatedinthispaper.Foreachcoolingscheme,a3Dfinitemodelbasedontheproposedstructurehasbeendevelopedtoperformtheelectromagneticandthermalanalysistopredicttheiroperationbehavior.Comparingtheanalysisresultsofthethreedifferentcoolingpatterns,watercoolinghasmoreadvantagesthantheotherpatternsanditisselectedtobethethermaldissipationpatternfortheACbusbarofITERPFconverterunit.TheapproachtoqualifythesuitablecoolingschemeinthispapercanbeprovidedasareferenceonthethermaldissipationdesignofACbusbarintheconvertersystem.

  • 简介:Ioncyclotronrangeoffrequency(ICRF)heatinghasbeenusedintokamaksasoneofthemostsuccessfulauxiliaryheatingtoolsandhasbeenadoptedintheEAST.However,theantennaloadwillfluctuatewiththechangeofplasmaparametersintheICRFheatingprocess.ToensurethesteadyoperationoftheICRFheatingsystemintheEAST,fastferritetuner(FFT)hasbeencarriedouttoachievereal-timeimpedancematching.FortherequirementsoftheFFTimpedancematchingsystem,themagnetsystemoftheferritetuner(FT)wasdesignedbynumericalsimulationsandexperimentalanalysis,wherethebiasingmagneticcircuitandalternatingmagneticcircuitwerethekeyresearchedpartsoftheferritemagnet.TheintegraldesigngoaloftheFTmagneticcircuitisthatDCbiasmagneticfieldis2000Gsandalternatingmagneticfieldis±400Gs.IntheFTT,E-typemagneticcircuitwasadopted.FerritematerialisNdFeBwithathicknessof30mmbysettingtheworkingpointofNdFeB,andtheampereturnofexcitationcoilis25throughthetheoreticalcalculationandsimulationanalysis.Thecoilinductancetogeneratealternatingmagneticfieldisabout7mH.Eddy-currenteffecthasbeenanalyzed,whilethemagneticfielddistributionhasbeenmeasuredbyaHallprobeinthemediumplaneofthebiasingmagnet.Finally,thetestresultsshowthegoodperformanceofthebiasingmagnetsatisfyingthedesignandoperatingrequirementsoftheFFT.

  • 简介:Tomakethelarge-scaleheliumcryogenicsystemoffusiondeviceEAST(experimentaladvancedsuper-conductingtokamak)runstably,asthecorepart,theheliumturbineexpandermustmeettherequirementofrefrigerationcapacity.However,previousdesignswerebasedononedimensionflowtodeterminetheaveragefluidparametersandgeometricparametersofimpellercross-sections,sothatitcouldnotdescriberealphysicalprocessesintheinternalflowoftheturbineexpander.Therefore,basedontheinversepropositionofstreamlinecurvaturemethodinthecontextofquasi-three-dimensionalflows,theall-over-controlledvortexconceptwasadoptedtodesigntheimpellerunderspecifiedcondition.Thewrapangleoftheimpellerbladeandthewholeflowdistributiononthemeridianplanewereobtained;meanwhiletheperformanceofthedesignedimpellerwasanalyzed.Thusanewdesignmethodisproposedherefortheinversepropositionoftheheliumturbineexpanderimpeller.
