简介:Afluid-structureinteractionmethodbasedonthearbitraryLagrangian-Eulerianmethodandadynamicmeshmethodwasdevelopedtosimulatethedynamicsofarigidparticleinshearflows.Inthemethod,thegoverningequationsforthefluidflowandparticlemotionweresequentiallysolvedinatwo-waycouplingfashion.Themeshsystemwasdeformedorre-meshedbythedynamicmeshmethod.Themethodwasemployedtosimulatethedynamicsofasingleparticlesuspendedinaflowchannelandthedynamicsoftheparticlewerestudied.Thesimulationresultsshowthattheangularvelocityisnotonlyafunctionoftheinclinationangle,isbutalsoinfluencedbytheaspectratioyieldingahysteresis,whiletheangularvelocityobtainedfromtheKeller-Scalakmodelisafunctiononlyoftheinclinationangleanddoesnotshowahysteresis.ThepresentsimulationsclearlydemonstratethattheFluid-StructureInteraction(FSI)moduleisverystable,accurateandrobust.
