  • 简介:Thispaperpresentstheresultsofaparametricstudyofself-centeringseismicretrofitschemesforreinforcedconcrete(RC)framebuildings.Theself-centeringretrofitsystemfeaturesflag-shapedhysteresisandminimalresidualdeformation.Forcomparisonpurpose,analternateseismicretrofitschemethatusesabilinear-hysteresisretrofitsystemsuchasbuckling-restrainedbraces(BRB)isalsoconsideredinthispaper.Theparametricstudywascarriedoutinasingle-degree-of-freedom(SDOF)systemframeworksinceamulti-storybuildingstructuremaybeidealizedasanequivalentSDOFsystemandinvestigationoftheperformanceofthisequivalentSDOFsystemcanprovideinsightintotheseismicresponseofthemulti-storybuilding.Apeak-orientedhysteresismodelwhichcanconsiderthestrengthandstiffnessdegradationisusedtodescribethehystereticbehaviorofRCstructures.Theparametricstudyinvolvestwokeyparameters-thestrengthratioandelasticstiffnessratiobetweentheseismicretrofitsystemandtheoriginalRCframe.Anensembleof172earthquakegroundmotionrecordsscaledtothedesignbasisearthquakeinCaliforniawithaprobabilityofexceedanceof10%in50yearswasconstructedforthesimulation-basedparametricstudy.Theeffectivenessofthetwoseismicretrofitschemesconsideredinthisstudyisevaluatedintermsofpeakdisplacementratio,peakaccelerationratio,energydissipationdemandratioandresidualdisplacementratiobetweentheSDOFsystemswithandwithoutretrofit.ItisfoundfromthisparametricstudythatRCstructuresretrofittedwiththeself-centeringretrofitscheme(SCRS)canachieveaseismicperformancelevelcomparabletothebilinear-hysteresisretrofitscheme(BHRS)intermsofpeakdisplacementandenergydissipationdemandratiowhilehavingnegligibleresidualdisplacementafterearthquake.
