简介:Amultichannelpolarization-entangledphoton-pairsourceinanMgO-dopedperiodicallypoledlithiumniobate(MgO:PPLN)waveguideisproposed.BasedontypeIquasi-phase-matchedspontaneousparametricdownconversioninasingleMgO:PPLNwaveguideplacedinsideaSagnacinterferometerandpumpedbymonochromaticlight,asourcecapableofsupportingtenstohundredsofchannelsofpolarization-entangledphotonpairsinfibercommunicationbandssimultaneouslycanbeachieved.Aninherentchannelswitchofthissourceisinvestigated,whichwillbesignificantforfutureentanglementdistributionnetworks.
简介:Influencesofthescatteringphasefunctionsonspatiallyresolveddiffusereflectancefromahomogenoussemi-infinitemediumclosetosourcearestudiedwithMonteCarlosimulation.Itisshownthattheinfluencesofopticalparametershigherthanthesecondorderonthediffusereflectancearequiteweakintheregionfrom0.3toseveraltransportmeanfreepatheswhenHenyey-Greensteinphasefunctionoracombinedphasefunctionoftwoparametersareused.ButthisinfluencemaybesubstantialifthedoubleHenyey-Greensteinfunctionisusedtodescribethescatteringpropertyoftissue.
简介:Anopticalbandpassfilter(OBF)isanimportantelementwhosepropertiesconsiderablyinfluencetheoutputperformanceofasinglesidebandmulticarriersourcebasedonare-circulatingfrequencyshifter.TheinfluenceoftheOBFintheloopontheoutputspectrumistheoreticallyanalyzed.Numericalsimulationsandexperimentsarealsocarriedout.Resultsshowthatthesteepnessanddeepnessofanonflat-topfilterinfluencethestabilityofthespectrumofanoutputmulticarrier.Toobtainmulticarrieroutputwithtonetonoiseratio(TNR)>26dBanderrorvectormagnitude(EVM)<0.25,thesteepnessratioofthefiltershouldbegreaterthan0.75anddeepnessshouldbelargerthan0.99.
