简介：Theprocessofeconomicactivitiesisonthebasisoftremendousmaterialinputs.Chinahasbeendischarginganenormousamountofwaste,givingrisetoawiderangeofenvironmentalimpacts.Themethodofeconomy-widematerialflowanalysis(EW-MFA)isoneoftheeffectivetoolstoexaminetheflowofmaterialsenteringphysicaleconomies,andrecognizeearlyenvironmentalproblems.RelevantresearchesarestillattheearlystageinChinaandmostfocusonmaterialthroughputbutarerarelyconcernedabouttheutilizationofrecyclingresourceandenvironmentalimpact.Basedonmorethan3,000itemsofdatarelated,materialsenteringChineseeconomyareclassifiedintothreetypes,andthenthecharacteristicsofmaterialinputandenvironmentalimpactarepresentedfortheyears1990-2005byusingtheindicatorsderivedfromEW-MFA.TheRatioofRecycledMaterial(RRM)isaddedasthenewindicatorinordertobeinaccordancewiththeneedofcirculareconomybeingpromotedinChina.Resultsshowthatthegreatchangesinthestructureofmaterialinputcausethecontinuousincreaseofindustrialsolidwasteemissionsandtheboggingdownofmaterialproductivity.TheRRMrevealsthattheutilizationofrecyclingresourcesremainsatafairlylowlevelinChina.Finally,someweaknessofEW-MFAisdiscussedaccordingtothecalculatedresults.
