  • 简介:LocatedinXilinGolLeagueofInnerMongoliaAutonomousRegion,theXilinhot-AbagavolcanicclusterisinthecentreoftheDaxing’anling-Datongvolcaniceruptionbelt.Morethan300Quaternarybasalticvolcanoesofdifferenttypesaredevelopedinthevolcaniceruptionbelt.Maarsarefoundforthefirsttimeinthestudyarea,withthoseinHaotewulainthesoutheastofAbagaqi,andChelewulaandEsigewulainthenorthwestofAbagaqitobethemostrepresentative.Theyallarelargeinscale,withconediametersgenerally3~4km,withthelargestupto6.5km.Themaarsshowintactstructure,asimilartwo-ringedmountainlandscapeandobviouslyphasederuptionwhichcontainedavigorousphreatomagmaticexplosionattheearlierstage,andweakmagmaticexplosionatthelaterstage,andbasalticlavaeffusioninthelaststage.Theeruptionsequencereflectstheinteractionbetweenmagmaandwater,thechangeofintrusivespeedandoutflowrateofmagma.TheMiddlePleistocenedepositsofsandandgravelinthevalleyarecoveredbybasalsurgedeposits.TheTLageofsandstone-shale"xenolith"whichwasfoundinthespatterdepositsclosetothecrateris(0.112±0.0096)Ma,indicatingthattheeruptiontimeoftheMaarswastheearlyLatePleistocene.

  • 简介:InaccordancewiththeAgreementofSino-SpainScienceandTechnologyCooperation,theInstituteofSeismology,SSBofChinaandtheInstituteofAstronomyandGeodesyofSpainhavetogetherperformedresearchattheGeodynamicsLaboratoryofLanzarote(CanaryIslands)withgeodynamicinstrumentation.Researchersconductedobservationandthenanalyzedthedatacompiled.Researchersusingtheadvancedgeodynamicinstrumentscouldmonitorthevolcanicactivityandseismicityinordertoforecastthevolcaniceruptionandearthquakes.TheresultsofthispaperareobtainedfromthisscientificandtechnologicalcooperationofthetwoinstitutesbetweenChinaandSpain.

  • 简介:Tephrafalloutisanimportanttypeofhazardcausedbyexplosivevolcaniceruption,andnumericalsimulationhasbecomeafastandeffectiveapproachtoassessthedispersionanddepositionoftephrafallout.Accordingtotheimproved2DdiffusionmodelofSuzuki(1983),weeditedatephradiffusionprogramthatcanrunintheWindowssystem.Basedonpreviousdata,wesimulatedthediffusionscopeoftheJinlongdingzivolcaniceruption,whichisthelatesteruptionintheLonggangvolcaniccluster.Thesimulatedresultsareingoodagreementwiththeresultsfrommeasurementinsitu,indicatingthatthemodelisreliableandtheparametersusedinthemodelaresuitable.Byusingwindprofilesoftenyears,7,021simulationsunderdifferentwindprofileswerecarriedout,andthenprobabilistichazardmapsoftephrafalloutwereconstructedfortephrathicknessthresholds,1cmand0.5cm.Thisstudycanprovideanimportantscientificbasisforvolcanichazardanalysis,riskmitigationplansandcountermeasuresintheLonggangvolcanicarea.
