简介:Thispaperproposestheprincipleofcomprehensiveknowledgediscovery.Unlikemostofthecurrentknowledgediscoverymethods,thecomprehensiveknowledgediscoveryconsidersboththespatialrelationsandattributesofspatialentitiesorobjects.Weintroducethetheoryofspatialknowledgeexpressionsystemandsomeconceptsincludingcomprehensiveknowledgediscoveryandspatialunioninformationtable(SUIT).Intheory,SUITrecordsallinformationcontainedinthestudiedobjects,butinreality,becauseofthecomplexityandvarietiesofspatialrelations,onlythosefactorsofinteresttousareselected.Inordertofindoutthecomprehensiveknowledgefromspatialdatabases,anefficientcomprehensiveknowledgediscoveryalgorithmcalledrecycledalgorithm(RAR)issuggested.
简介:TheconceptoftheKingGeorgeIslandExpertGIS(KGI-XGIS)isintroduced.KGI-XGISisacombinationofarule-basedexpertsystemandaGISmeanttoformanintelligentspatialdecisionsupportsystem.Thesystemprovidesthespatialknowledgenecessaryfortheenvironmentalimpactassessmentprocessasdictatedbythe'MadridProtocol'forKingGeorgeIsland(SouthShetlandIslands,Antarctica).Italsoservesasinformationsystemtothescientificusercommunity.Topographicmaps,remotesensingdata,thematicmapsbasedonfieldsurveysandotherdigitaldatathesemustbecombinedanduseainthemostefficientway.Thereforeexpertknowledgeofdifferentdomainswillbecodedintoarule-basedexpertsystemwhichiscoupledtotheGIS.TohandletheexpertknowledgeandthespatialdataofdifferenttypesanddirrerentqualitytheKGI-XGISincorporatesknowledge-basedtechniquesandfuizzyreasoning.TheselectionofacampsiteontheicefreeareaofFildesPeninsulaanddataqualitymanagementareusedastwoexamplestodemonstratethecapabioitiesofthesystem
