Environmentalissues,mainlytheglobalwarming,theozonelayerdepletion,theacidrain,theairandwaterpollution,thedesertification,andthelossofbiodiversity--havecaughtattentionoftheentirehumanrace.Itisnowuniversallyacknowledgedthatenvironmentalprotectionisapoliticalandsocialproblemaswellasaneconomicone.Itinvolvesvarioussectorsofthenationaleconomyandsohasanimportantbearingonsustainableeconomicandsocialdevelopmentofallnations.
