摘要
Themultivariatestatisticalanalysisisprofitablyapplicabletothestudyofconodontmultielementtaxonomy.R-modeclusteranalysesofquantitativeand0-1dataarecarriedoutheretoclassifymorethan6000discreteLowerTriassicconodontspecimensbelongingto108kindsofconodontelementsfromWesternGuangxi.TheresultsofR—modeclusteranalysisrevealmoredirectlytherelationshipamongmanyisolatedconodontelements,andtheyalsoprovethatthere-sultsofthelogicalinferencearebasicallycorrect,i.e.108kindsofconodontelementscanbeidenti-fiedinto32speciesbelongingto11generaofconodonts.TheapplicationofR-modeclusteranalysismultielementtaxonomybythemethod,hasbroughtabout4significantconclusions,whichcanbeusedbyconodontresearchersasreference.
