Growth and Mortality of Small Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys polyactis) Inhabiting Haizhou Bay of China

摘要 Lengthfrequencydataofsmallyellowcroaker(Larimichthyspolyactis)wereacquiredfromthesurveyvesselinMay,July,SeptemberandDecember,2011inHaizhouBayofChina.Inthisstudy,921fishindividualswereanalyzedfortheestimationofgrowthandmortalityparameters.Betweenlengthandweight,thepowercoefficientbwas2.7321,2.9703,3.0418and2.7252forthe4surveyingmonths,respectively.TheestimatedvonBertalanffygrowthfunctionparameterswere230mm(L∞)and0.26yr-1(K)aswerecalculatedwithELEFANmethodequippedinFiSATcomputerpackage.Withlength-convertedcatchcurveanalysis,thetotalmortalityrate(Z)andits95%confidenceintervalwere2.16(1.69-2.64)yr-1,0.59(0.15-1.04)yr-1,1.16(0.80-1.52)yr-1and0.96(0.70-1.23)yr-1forthe4surveyingmonths,respectively,withthepooleddatathevaluewas1.15(0.81-1.48)yr-1.Thenaturalmortalityrate(M)was0.516yr-1aswascalculatedwithPauly'sequation(theannualaverageseawatertemperaturewas11℃).Therefore,fishmortalityratewas0.634yr-1.Theyield-per-recruitanalysisindicatedthatwhentcwas1,Fmaxwas0.7andF0.1was0.55.Currently,theageatfirstcaptureisabout1yearandFcurrentwas0.634.Therefore,FcurrentwaslargerthanF0.1andlessthanFmax.Thisindicatesthatcurrentfishmortalityisatadangerouslyhighlevel.WithGullandmethod,thebiologicalreferencepointforfishery(Fopt)wasestimatedas0.516yr-1,lowerthancurrentfishmortality.Accordingly,reducingcatchintheregionwasstronglyrecommended.
