Flexural-gravity wave resistances due to a surface-moving line source on a fluid covered by a thin elastic plate

摘要 Analyticalsolutionsfortheflexural-gravitywaveresistancesduetoalinesourcesteadilymovingonthesurfaceofaninfinitelydeepfluidareinvestigatedwithintheframeworkofthelinearpotentialtheory.Thehomogenousfluid,coveredbyathinelasticplate,isassumedtobeincompressibleandinviscid,andthemotiontobeirrotational.ThesolutioninintegralformforthewaveresistanceisobtainedbymeansoftheFouriertransformandtheexplicitlyanalyticalsolutionsarederivedwiththeaidoftheresiduetheorem.Thedispersionrelationshowsthatthereisaminimalphasespeedcmin,athresholdfortheexistenceofthewaveresistance.NowaveisgeneratedwhenthemovingspeedofthesourceVislessthancminwhilethewaveresistancesfirstlyincreasetotheirpeakvaluesandthendecreasewhenVcmin.Theeffectsoftheflexuralrigidityandtheinertiaoftheplatearestudied.
