摘要
Gastrointestinalstromaltumors(GISTs)occurmostfrequentlyinthestomach.DiagnosisofgastricGISTisnotalwaysclearbeforesurgery.Flexibleendoscopymaysuggestthenatureofthelesion(abulkytumorwithpreservedmucosa);however,biopsyisrarelydiagnostic.Therefore,diagnosticmedicationwithsafedrugsmayprovideafeasiblewayundersuchconditionsafteraninformedconsentisobtained.Basedontheexcellentefficacyofimatinibmesylate(IM)inthetreatmentofGIST,wesuccessfullyapplieditinthediagnosticmedicationoftwopatientswithclinicallysuspectedgastricstromaltumors.Inconclusion,thediagnosticmedicationwithIMcanbeanalternativeoptionforpatientswithsuspectedGISTthatcannotbeconfirmedpathologically.
