Genomic Islands Prediction and Analysis in Cyanobacteira by Bioinfomatics

摘要 Genomicislands(Gis)areoneofthemostimportantcomponentsforcyanobacterialgenome.TheGiscodehasmanyfunctions,suchassymbiosis,pathogenesis,andadaptation.Inthisarticle,wepredictandanalyzetheGisinSynechocystissp.PCC6803bybioinfomatics,andtheresultsshowthatISL1,ISL8,andISL16arehomologouswithmanyotherbacteria,andtheyinvolveinbasicreactionsandhaveaconservativeevolution.Onthecontrary,ISL15hasauniquesequenceandfunctiononlyforSynechocystissp.PCC6803.MostofGisplayaroleingenomerearrangementbecausetheyhavelotsoftransposase.Moreover,wefindthatrecombinationandhorizontaltransferofGisareimportantfactorstoaffectthedistributionofnon-codingRNA.Ourworkcontributestoacomprehensiveunderstandingofgenomicislandsandtheirimpactongenomeofcyanobacteria.
